Dab Rigs & Oil Rigs
Dab rigs or oil rigs are a type of water pipe designed for oil concentrates, waxes or “dabs”, similar to bongs (assuming the proper attachments are being used). The main difference, however, is in the design. Oil concentrates are better suited to be vaporized in narrow tubing and small chambers, which provide minimal resistance to the flow of the Vapor. By using smaller designs, the vapor moves quickly and easily through the piece and retains a more condensed nature when compared to the traditional bong or water pipe. This allows the vapor to retain a smoother, more consistent, flavor and viscosity.
Dab Rigs require the use of a quartz or titanium nail instead of the conventional bowl in order to vaporize oils. To get the perfect dabbing experience you will want to incorporate other dabbing tools.
